"Wickedly Cool"

Hi Guys, I really got my mojo on tonight with this weeks
"Mojo Monday's #153"
It all just flowed, don't you love it when that happens.
I'm soooooo loving this new Halloween Set
"Wicked Cool" It stamps so clean and with such fine lines!

I started with Whisper White cardstock for my base card,
and added a mat of Rich Razzleberry,
next came DSP "Wicked Fun" lots of wicked fun going on with this card!!!!
I punched the scalloped squares with SU extra large scallop punch,
next I punched the images out with the SU 1-1/4 square punch.
Spooky was stamped with Basic Black Dye Ink on Whisper White,
then punched with Oval Large SU Punch,
and matted with the SU Scalloped Oval punched Rich Razzleberry.
Check out how these punches all work together, and really make your work look so professional.....and boy do they save time!!
Ribbon is Rich Razzleberry and may not be available now,
but there is a solid 1/4 inch grosgrain.
I added a black star button and some glitzy rhinestones
and there you have it.
Hope you all enjoy it.

"Aviary Thank You"

This is an old Mojo Mnday Sketch.......#67

I just love this paper, have I told you this before??!!! I think I have, but I just love this paper!! It reminds me of Craftsman style wallpaper. And I loved that era of building and decorating. It focused on simple, natural nature colors.

The stamp set: is "Aviary"
I'm using all clear stamps ( when available) and they work great.
Stamp pad colors, are Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight
Background stamp French Script used behind the bird cage, stamped with Daffodil Delight.
Bird cage is cut using the rectangle clear sizzix, very nice, you can see thru it and position your image just perfect.
DSP: is of course Greenhouse Gala
Paper colors are Whisper White, Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight
Ribbon is Taffeta Daffodil Delight, love, love love it....it's the first yellow ribbon I've gotten from SU and you will need it, especially for Spring and Easter
The thank you is from the set: "Curly Cute" 15.95 for 5 sentiments that's $3.19 each!! And they are darling and very versatile sentiments, HB, Thinking of you, Congratulations, Seasons Greetings, and Thank You.
I like the larger size, I have those over 40 eyes!!!!
Embellishments are pearls....a girls gotta have her pearls you know!!!

Wishing all my stamping buddies a wonder filled day!!!
Blessings Denise

I've posted my favorite card last( my design) , therefor making it first on my blog for today. Don't you love how you have to think in reverse. As if thinking forward isn't hard enough......!!!

I started this card with a Bashful Blue card, layered Early Espresso ( I'm liking it more than Chocolate Chip, who would have thought it??), I added an embossed Whisper White layer, then the DSP, guess......no.... not Greenhouse Gala.... again....!!!
I added a punched border in Bashful Blue.

The main sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso then trimmed and mounted on Whisper White, then Bashful Blue. I stamped the image again on Bashful Blue and cut out the flower. Added some glitter, popped it all up a little, added the polka dot ribbon and wha-la!!
I think I'll take a few days off from Friends Never Fade and DSP Greenhouse Gala.
What do you think????

I just love this card, lots of work, but it turned out great. I CASED it from Amy Sheffer, it was listed on SCS as urbangardenthanks.

Real Red. Chocolate Chip, Pear Pizzaz, Baja Breeze, and Whisper White. DSP is Greenhouse Gala, and I added some red bling in the middle. I used my 1 1/4 inch square punch to do the 4 center colors. Lots of fun and I like how it turned out.
I CASED this card from Sandy MacIver, she's my hero. I really like her style. Real Red and Pear Pizzazz CS, Scalloped Border punch in Whisper White, sentiment incased in an antique brass Hodgepodge Hardware. Main image was colored with SU markers and stamped on Whisper White, it was cut out with the rectangle spellbinders.
The DSP is again, my favorite Greenhouse Gala.

I enjoyed making this card, isn't it interesting how some cards just come together easily, and then others you agonize over. This is my design, same set "Friends Never Fade". Base cardstock is Pear Pizzazz, next mat is Baja Breeze, I stamped the bottom design with versamark, and also stamped the main design with versamark, then embossed with clear embossing powder. The paper is DSP Greenhouse Gala. The sentiment and the main stamped image are popped up. The ribbon was in my stash, and the felt flower and brad is from SU.
I liked how this card turned out.

Bashful Blue card base, Early Espresso embossed with the new embossing folder "Vintage Wallpaper", Bashful Blue and Whisper White cardstock. I stamped the sentiment with Early Espresso, I then stamped the flower in the same set with Bashful blue, sprayed it with Vanila Shimmer Smooch( kiss, kiss, kiss...love this stuff. It makes your snowflakes just beautiful) and cut it out. Popped it up with dimensionals.
Added ribbon and rick rack. And a little flower to the middle of the flower.
Not my favorite but it will do.

After posting this I realized I have used several stamps to make this card. The colors were chosen for the Curtain Call, Act 33. I just love this combo, Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, and Night of Navy. The DSP is SU's Certainly Celery. The memories sentiment is from "Define your Life" it was stamped in Night of Navy, I then colored the stamp from "Of the Earth" with my SU markers, huffed on it and stamped over the sentiment. The Sharing in your Sorrow sentiment is from the set "Thought and Prayers" and the branch on the inside is also from this set. The butterfly and inside sentiment is from "Ann-ticipations"
It is my favorite Sympathy verse.

The inside was cut with the "Top Note Die" from SU,
I use it quite often when the card is dark.
This card is a MOJO Monday Sketch, # 142. The colors are Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, and Pumpkin Pie. The DSP is my new all time favorite "Greenhouse Gala"
I've been on a "Friends Never Fade" binge, I am really loving the new releases from Stampin' Up. I was anxious about the new color change. It's been the biggest one since I've been a demonstrator. But now that I have all the new colors and have purged my files and stamp pads, I am really loving the change. Looking back into previous catalogs, I realize it was definately needed. !! I think it's the best release yet. I'm hoping to get a Stamping Up blog going so ya'll can link to SU from here.

OK for the card above I used the new Crumb Cake (Kraft) and Night of Navy. The DSP is from BD Designs which is no longer in business :((

I wanted to add some posting with these cards, seems I never have time to do all parts of my posting at one time. I see and read this thru out all my friends blogs. But I'm not whining, I want to make a comment about all of us "paper bloggers". We are fantastic, creative women. We have busy schedules whether we're stay at home moms, care takers of our own moms & dads, work outside the home, care for our grandchildren, care for our husbands, or all of these things plus more. We are amazing ladies... and yes some gentlemen, to find some time to do this creative thing we all love. So hang in there, keep creating and know that you are loved and encouraged!!!

Below and maybe above....he-he, so hard to be able to type where I want to...
All these latest cards are made from the Stampin" Up set " A Flower for All Seasons" I had stamped the design several months ago, colored them with SU markers, cut them out with spellbinders scalloped squares and set them aside in my craft room. One day I decided to do something with them. I made all these cards without sentiments. I did this on purpose so I can add the sentiment I need at the time the card is needed. So often I have the card made, but the sentiment is wrong. Thought this might work out.
