VALENTINE'S CARDS

I cased this card from Wendy Weixler, also know as Wendy Bell on SCS.
Her blog is listed below as "Wickedly Wonderful Creations" please check out her work

Base CS is retired SU pink pirouette, embossed with a cuttlebug heart embossing folder
Next layer is SU brushed silver (very nice paper)
Then SU whisper white, embossed with SU texture plate
Ribbon is SU taffeta basic gray, ribbon slide from making Memories
Stamp is from retired set, "Heart Flutters", and I embossed it with silver embossing powder
layered with SU pink pirouette, and bravo burgundy
The L for Love stamp is from the set "Ever After" and it is available.

This card is very similar to the one above, just minor differences. The background is cut from retired Stampin' Up, DSP Parisian Summer, using the SU Top Note Die
The lacy border is punched on both sides with a Martha Stuart punch

I really like how this card turned out.
Retired SU Pink Pirouette card stock for the base, then retired SU Baja Breeze
The stamps are SU "Baroque Motifs" the curly background under the hearts. This is such a versatile stamp, so far I've used it for Halloween background, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and now Valentine cards.
And the sentiment is in the Sale-A-Bration set, I just love these curly sentiments
Stampin' Up has introduced clear stamps this year, and I am loving using them. No problem what-so-ever. Same fine quality as the wood mounted sets. Cost is less, and they come in their own storage cassette. I don't know about you but I'm running out of storage room, soooooo
I will buy all clear sets that are offered from now on.

Aren't these vintage children so very cute!!!
They are from Daisyd's and are peeking
out of a SU die cut "Scallop Envelope".
I cut it from of double sided card stock.
DSP's are also Daisyd's
With love is from a cuttlebug embossing folder

This is my favorite so far, I just love this new little bird punch from Stampin' Up!!
It is available in the new Mini Occasions catalog.
The punch punches out the bird, her wing, and the branch she's sitting on.
I believe you are going to see lots of these little birds. :))
Card stock base is SU's bravo burgundy,
and I used the SU embossing folder "Petals a Plenty".
It was offered in the Holiday Mini that expired on Jan 4, 2010
I hope they will bring it back in next years catalog.
DSP is retired "Parisian Summer"
And the sentiment is from a current SU set "A Happy Heart"
I used SU's "Scallop Circle Punch" and then SU's 1 3/8" circle punch,
and the 1" circle punch for the sentiment.

I hope you enjoy these Valentine's Cards and they inspire you to make some as well.
I plan to get a few more made tomorrow. So come back soon.

Thanks so much for looking!!!! Blessings, Denise
